NU GREEK LIFE

Updated as of 4/6/21:

We've made a lot of progress since our initial petition! Click here to check out our update on the status of the petition and what's happened since then. You can also check out SARC’S running document of Northeastern Greek life organizations' plans to change their bylaws and policies to shift the culture within their specific organization and the broader community.

Please take a second to sign this petition mandating that Greek life at NU change their policies to help prevent further sexual violence!

Specifically, we're calling for the ban of internal sexual misconduct investigations as well as instituting mandatory sexual violence prevention and education trainings every semester.

If you have any questions about this initiative please let us know! Send an email to sarcatnortheastern@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram.

TITLE IX

We have been working with the Office of University Equity and Compliance (OUEC), which Title IX falls under at Northeastern, to make sure there are still options for survivors for reporting. We're dedicated to making the process as survivor-centered as possible, and helped push for an informal resolution/restorative justice process. Read more here.

RESOURCES

SARC has played an integral role in increasing the amount of confidential resources for survivors on campus (UHCS, the SVRC, and all spiritual advisors) as well as the creation of the Sexual Violence Resource Center. Here, you can view our comprehensive "Know Your Resources" presentation as well as links to our ever-evolving and expanding list of resources, both on and off-campus.

CLIMATE SURVEY

View the results of the annual campus climate survey, an anonymous questionnaire regarding sexual violence on campus, administered each spring by the Office for Prevention and Education (OPEN), below.
