MISSION

The Sexual Assault Response Coalition seeks to bring better, more inclusive survivor-centered resources to campus to ensure the complete safety and health of all Northeastern students. SARC seeks to make Northeastern University a safer space for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence by protecting and advocating for their rights. Resources in a safer space may include accessible resources and information, a streamlined reporting process that prioritizes privacy for survivors and adherence to their wishes, trained staff, and education of the faculty and student population about these topics. These resources should continue to evolve to serve the ever-changing needs of students. The Sexual Assault Response Coalition also intends to represent these student needs by acting as liaisons to the administration, partnering with organizations on and off campus, as well as providing resources, education, and a space for students and the broader Northeastern community that focuses on survivorship and advocacy, while also emphasizing care, support, and solidarity for survivors and their allies.
